Krishnapuram blooms: Lokaa & NIRDPR celebrate a sustainable future
On June 4th, 2023, Lokaa Foundation's ongoing collaboration with NIRDPR flourished with the inauguration of the Krishnapuram World Village knowledge center. G. Narendra Kumar, IAS, Director General of NIRDPR, joined Lokaa Krishna, Lokaa Foundation's founder, to celebrate this milestone.
The ceremony marked more than just a new building. The Director General unveiled the leaf plate compression machine, a testament to the partnership's growing impact. He then met with the inspiring Krishnapuram teams creating a sustainable future through Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEBs), leaf plates, and eco-friendly products.
Impressed by Lokaa Foundation's "human being first" approach, the Director General commended their focus on community empowerment. The celebration extended to Santoshpuram, Lokaa's first World Village, and Anilpuram, their latest. Hundreds of villagers gathered to learn and celebrate this thriving partnership.
This event signifies a significant step forward in Lokaa Foundation and NIRDPR's shared mission of building a brighter future, one village at a time.
